Document automation, templates aware of the matter, versions the audit team can defend.

Law firms run on documents. Engagement letters, NDAs, motions, closing binders. We build the automation layer that pulls matter data into branded templates, ships them through e-sign, and tracks every version with an audit trail a reviewer can defend.

What we build

  • Matter-aware templates, not generic mail merges

Templates pull from the matter's structured data, parties, jurisdictions, fee structures, defined terms, and render the right clauses for that matter type. New matter types are template authoring, not code changes.

  • Clause libraries with provenance

Reusable clauses live in a versioned library with author, approval date, and last review. Templates reference clauses by ID; a clause update propagates with a one-click batch re-render of dependent drafts.

  • E-signature through DocuSign + HelloSign

Single integration layer abstracting the e-sign provider; firms keep their existing vendor or switch without re-platforming. Signing status webhooks land in the matter timeline; bounced sends route to fee earners with the reason.

  • Audit trail per document, per clause

Every edit is a versioned diff with actor + timestamp. Approval workflows for partner sign-off run inside the system; the audit log shows who reviewed and when, not 'who probably approved this'.

  • PDF pipeline that handles redaction

Redactions are real (the text is removed, not just black-boxed), pagination respects pleading rules, exhibit numbering renumbers automatically when documents are inserted or removed.

  • Matter portal for clients

Clients see only their matter's documents, sign through a branded portal, get notified of status changes. The portal respects per-matter access lists so co-counsel and opposing parties see different slices.

Where this fits

  1. Your fee earners are spending three to five hours per matter copy-pasting between Word templates and the case management system.

  2. Engagement letters and NDAs go out inconsistently because every partner has their own version of the template.

  3. Your firm is hitting the scale where 'the paralegal who knows the templates' has become a single point of failure.
